Sydney Turf Club conducts more than 60 race meetings each year including the prestigious Golden Slipper Festival, Spring Racing Carnival and Thursday night racing during the summer months. The Club has a growing Membership of around 7,000, nine Directors and employs 160 full-time and more than 800 casual staff.

In staging thoroughbred horse racing, STC provides high quality entertainment, first class facilities, renowned catering and customer service, together with a competitive wagering product for both on and off course customers.

The Club manages two of Australia's premier racing venues, Canterbury Park and Rosehill Gardens, the latter which accommodates more than 350 horses trained by some of the State's top trainers including John Hawkes, Chris Waller, Tim Martin, Jack Denham and Gerald Ryan.

The Club can also lay claims to Australia's richest day of racing, AAMI Golden Slipper Day. The finale of the Club's autumn festival of racing, the day showcases the world's richest race for two-year-olds, the $3.5 million AAMI Golden Slipper and Australia's best-rated race, The BMW.

In all, the Festival presents 18 Group events over three consecutive Saturdays, with nearly $11 million in prize money.

The Grand Pavilion

Launching in conjunction with the Golden Slipper Festival in 2008 is the new $30 million Grand Pavilion at Rosehill Gardens. The impressive 7,000m2 multi-purpose facility will provide additional areas for STC Members and corporate clients on race days and allow for the expansion of a growing "non racing" business.

The Grand Pavilion will play host to some of Sydney's most prestigious exhibitions, functions and special events such as the Sydney Boat Show and the NSW Caravan, Camping, 4WD and Holiday Supershow and will provide flexibility to host large-scale conventions, dinners and tradeshows.
