Happy Hours back for Hawkesbury’s big day Thursday, 08 May 2008
NSW TAB customers betting on this Saturday’s Hawkesbury thoroughbred meeting can win 25% more on First 4’s.
Tabcorp is once again staging a Hawkesbury Happy Hours promotion, which is based on reducing commission on First 4’s from 22.5% to 3.12%. Bigger First 4 dividends are guaranteed as a result.
Hawkesbury’s meeting this Saturday is a stand-alone thoroughbred meeting, which features the Bookmaker’s Super Fund Hawkesbury Guineas and the Winford Win Kia Hawkesbury Rowley Mile.
"Tabcorp is pleased to be supporting the Hawkesbury Race Club’s stand-alone meeting through our Hawkesbury Happy Hours promotion," said Tabcorp’s Managing Director of Wagering, Robert Nason.
"Hawkesbury Happy Hours will simulate betting interest on what is an important and increasingly popular date on the NSW racing calendar."
Hawkesbury Race Club CEO Brian Fletcher said: "Our stand-alone meeting continues to grow. We have better quality fields this year and that is bound to strengthen betting interest.
"Hawkesbury Race Club expects it will again experience growth in 2008 in areas such as betting turnover, crowds and corporate sales."
Tabcorp ran the same promotion at last year’s Hawkesbury Guineas meeting.
The First 4 on the Richmond Club Limited Class 6 Handicap (Race 3), which paid $6288.90, was the biggest First 4 dividend of the day.
NSW TAB punters invested $432,000 on First 4s on the Hawkesbury stand-alone meeting last year.

Golden Daily Doubles, which have 0% commission, have been a feature of the NSW Autumn Racing Carnival.
