Calling all hard-working girls, Tuesday, 29 April 2008
Calling all hard-working girls, Wednesday’s the day to get that half a day off….
The Tooheys New Royal Randwick Carnival continues in style this Wednesday with JPMorgan Australian Oaks Day - Wednesday 30 April 2008.
And all ladies will receive free racecourse entry to Royal Randwick!
Oaks Day, traditionally recognised as Ladies Day on the Racing Carnivals across the world, is a day for fashion, fun and friendship and festivity – as the ladies get to show off their grace and style in the premiere Autumn Carnival fashion event – the Visa Platinum Royal Randwick Fashions on the Field, while soaking up all the Carnival atmosphere trackside.
“We are anticipating that a significant number of ladies will request a half day off work on this day. Hopefully a lot of sympathetic bosses will realise the importance of rewarding their female staff for all their hard work - and maybe even accompany them to Royal Randwick”, said AJC Executive Director of Marketing and Sales, Elizabeth McIntyre.
“This is a great way to say thank you to all our female racegoers for being such excellent Randwick Princesses this year”, Mrs McIntyre suggested. “Our female patrons have certainly added plenty of glamour and style to our Royal Randwick Carnival thus far and we’d love to see them all out here enjoying the action on Wednesday.”
JPMorgan Australian Oaks Day features the running of the traditional fillies classic race over 2400 metres and is supported by a great program of group and listed races. Off track entertainment focuses on the Best Dressed Lady and Millinery categories in the Visa Platinum Fashions on the Field event held in the Randwick Fashion Precinct - where someone will get to share in the glamorous prize pool in excess of $100,000.
