A celebration of Food, Wine & Racing in the Colour City
Orange’s first race day of the Autumn Racing Carnival Calendar will be staged at the picturesque Towac Park beneath the ancient mountain of Mt. Canobolas and only 5 kilometres from the city centre.
Colour City Cup meeting is an emerging race meeting which is set for iconic status. Raced on Mondays in recent years, this meeting has been provided with a Friday date to coincide with the first day of F.O.O.D. week in 2008; an Orange and District initiative to bring the great foods and wines of this cool climate to the people of Australia.
Staged over 10 days from Friday 11 April to Sunday 20 April the festival is now in its 16th year. The Colour City Cup meeting will bring thousands of racegoers to the race meeting after which people can savour the delights of this truly remarkable area of NSW.
Lunch served in restaurants overlooking the racecourse start from $55.00 per head and includes reserved seating, private TAB and bar facilities. Marquee sites are available, either self catered or catered from $33.00 per head. There will be plenty of live music, kids entertainment, Fashions on the Field and gates open at 10.00am.
